WICK Nasivin Classic 0.05% nasal drops

Nasivin is a well-known brand of nasal decongestant products featuring the active ingredient oxymetazoline. Originally developed in the scientific laboratories of the German pharmaceutical company Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, the product gained significant fame when it was selected by NASA for use by astronauts during the Apollo missions to manage nasal congestion in zero gravity.

In 2018, as part of a strategic shift to focus on innovative biopharmaceuticals, Merck KGaA sold its entire consumer health business, including the Nasivin brand, to the American multinational consumer goods corporation Procter & Gamble (P&G). Today, the brand is often marketed under the umbrella of P&G's global cough and cold brand, WICK (known as Vicks in other regions), particularly in the Austrian and German markets. While manufacturing has historically been centered in Germany, P&G operates a global supply chain to distribute the product internationally.
