Croky Naturel chips

Croky is an iconic Belgian snack brand that was established in 1966 in Nieuwkerke by the Huyghe family. The brand was famously named after the family's pet parrot, 'Croky,' which remains the brand's mascot to this day. While the brand achieved early success in the Benelux region, its ownership has transitioned through several major corporations over the decades.

In 1972, Croky was acquired by the British multinational United Biscuits. Following a period of corporate restructuring in the late 1990s, the brand was partially split; the French rights were sold to PepsiCo (where the brand was eventually phased out in favor of Lay's), while the Benelux rights remained with United Biscuits. In 2004, Croky returned to Belgian hands when it was acquired by Roger & Roger, a family-owned potato processing company based in Mouscron.

Today, Croky chips are primarily manufactured at the Roger & Roger facility in Mouscron, Belgium. The company utilizes locally sourced potatoes and has remained a dominant player in the Belgian and Dutch markets. As of 2026, the brand continues to be owned and operated by the Mouscron-based family business Roger & Roger, which is controlled by the Dick family.
