Simple is a well-established British skincare brand that specialized in products for sensitive skin. It was originally launched in 1960 by the Albion Group, gaining fame for producing the UK's first cleansing bar free from perfumes and dyes. This commitment to 'kindness' and minimal irritation became the brand's hallmark, later popularized by iconic advertising campaigns featuring lilies.
Over the years, the brand underwent several ownership changes, moving from the Albion Group to Smith & Nephew in the 1980s, followed by a management buyout that formed Accantia Health & Beauty in 2000. It was later acquired by Alberto-Culver in 2009. In 2010, the global consumer goods giant Unilever purchased Alberto-Culver, bringing Simple into its extensive portfolio of personal care brands. Today, Simple is recognized as a leading skincare brand worldwide, distributed in over 60 countries. While it maintains its British heritage, manufacturing is spread across multiple locations including the UK, Poland, and the United States to support its global supply chain.
