Nudossi Nuss-Nougat-Creme

Nudossi is a historic German brand of hazelnut chocolate spread, famously established in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) in 1970 as an alternative to western hazelnut spreads. It is particularly renowned for its high hazelnut content, which at 36% is significantly higher than many major global competitors. Originally created by the state enterprise VEB Elbflorenz in Dresden, the brand's name is a portmanteau of 'Nuss' (nut) and 'Vadossi', the name of the original factory.

After a period of discontinuation following German reunification, the brand was revived in the late 1990s by the Hartmann family. Today, it is manufactured in Radebeul, Saxony, by Sächsische und Dresdner Back- und Süßwaren GmbH & Co. KG. The product shown is the palm-oil-free variant, which was introduced in 2017 to meet modern consumer preferences while maintaining the brand's signature high nut concentration. The company remains a family-owned medium-sized enterprise, continuing a long tradition of Saxon confectionery craftsmanship.
