Blauer USA apparel

Blauer was founded in Boston in 1936 by Louis Blauer. Initially focusing on high-performance uniforms and technical gear for the U.S. military and public safety sectors, the brand built a reputation for durable, weather-resistant outerwear. In 2001, the brand's trajectory shifted significantly when it entered a licensing agreement with the Italian fashion group FGF Industry, led by Enzo Fusco. This partnership successfully transitioned Blauer from a purely functional uniform supplier into a premium fashion label.

While the professional uniform division (Blauer Manufacturing Company) remains rooted in the United States and continues to supply law enforcement and first responders with 100% USA-made technical gear, the fashion-oriented 'Blauer USA' line is primarily managed from Italy. Today, FGF Industry owns 50% of the brand. Manufacturing for the fashion collections is global, involving facilities in Italy, China, Vietnam, and other locations, while the high-tech HAZMAT and specialized tactical gear are still produced in the United States.
