The product is a specialized salt blend featuring 91% salt mixed with dried red and green bell peppers, yellow mustard seeds, and caraway. It is specifically crafted to pair with game meats, steaks, and stews.

The brand was founded in 2007 by Claus and Henny Skov, who transitioned from running the Blåvand Kro inn to opening their own gourmet boutique and production facility. Today, the brand remains a family-owned enterprise, operating under Hr. Skov Engros ApS. All production is centralized in Denmark, focusing on wild and local Danish ingredients to maintain a high-quality, artisanal profile.
