The Philips OneBlade is a hybrid grooming tool designed to trim, edge, and shave hair of any length. Introduced by the Dutch multinational Philips in 2016, the product represented a major shift in the grooming market, targeting a younger demographic by bridging the gap between manual razors and electric trimmers.
Manufacturing of the OneBlade is a global operation. While the design and engineering are rooted in the Netherlands, the production is distributed across several facilities. Key components, specifically the replacement blades, are primarily manufactured in the Philips factory in Drachten, Netherlands. The handle units and overall assembly typically occur in manufacturing hubs in Indonesia or China.
Koninklijke Philips N.V., also known as Royal Philips, is the ultimate owner of the brand. Founded in 1891 in Eindhoven, the company has transitioned from a general electronics conglomerate to a focused health technology leader. Although Philips recently divested its domestic appliance business to Hillhouse Capital, it retained full ownership of its Personal Health and Grooming sector, ensuring the OneBlade remains a core part of its portfolio through 2026 and beyond.
