ColaCao is one of Spain's most iconic and historic cocoa brands. Launched in 1945 by Nutrexpa, it quickly became a staple in Spanish households, known for its unique 'lumps' and affiliation with Spanish sports and culture. Unlike many other instant cocoas, ColaCao Original is made with natural cocoa and maintains a traditional production process that does not use additives for instant dissolution.

Today, the brand is owned by Idilia Foods, a company formed following the split of the original Nutrexpa group into two entities (Idilia and Adam Foods). The primary manufacturing facility for ColaCao is located in Parets del Vallès, Barcelona, Spain. The brand has expanded internationally, particularly in China and South America, through local production and partnerships, but its heart and ultimate ownership remain firmly rooted in Spain.
