Intimissimi is a renowned Italian brand that has become a global leader in the lingerie and underwear sector. Founded in 1996 in Dossobuono di Villafranca di Verona, Italy, the brand was initially launched as a dedicated underwear line for the Calzedonia Group. Over the decades, it has expanded its catalog to include knitwear, pajamas, and specialized collections for both women and men, the latter often marketed under the 'Intimissimi Uomo' sub-brand.

The brand utilizes a highly verticalized supply chain model. While the design and prototyping phases take place at the corporate headquarters in Italy, the actual manufacturing and packaging of garments occur across a network of proprietary factories located in multiple countries, including Italy, Sri Lanka, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Ethiopia. This ownership of the production facilities allows the company to maintain strict quality control and ethical labor standards.

In late 2023, the parent company Calzedonia Group rebranded as Oniverse to reflect its growing and diverse portfolio, which now spans fashion, luxury yachts, and wine. Oniverse remains a privately held Italian company controlled by the Veronesi family, with founder Sandro Veronesi serving as the chairman. As of 2026, Intimissimi continues to be a flagship brand within the Oniverse portfolio, operating thousands of retail locations worldwide.
