Thomy Reines Rapsöl

Thomy is a long-standing Swiss brand that has become a staple in European kitchens, particularly famous for its mustard and mayonnaise. The brand's history dates back to 1907 when the company Helvetia began industrial mustard production in Switzerland. In 1930, the brand was officially renamed 'Thomy,' replacing the 'i' from the founder Hans Thomi's name with a 'y' to give it a more international appeal. One of its most significant innovations was the introduction of aluminum tubes for mustard in 1934, a format that remains iconic today.

In 1971, the Thomy brand was acquired by Nestlé, the world's largest food and beverage company. Today, while it retains its Swiss heritage, Thomy products like 'Reines Rapsöl' (Pure Rapeseed Oil) are produced in various locations to serve the European market. For the German market, manufacturing is primarily handled at plants in Neuss and Karlsruhe, Germany, though regional production also occurs in Switzerland and Serbia.
