Casali Rum-Kokos chocolate pralines

Casali is a renowned Austrian confectionery brand with a long history dating back to 1792, when Joseph Casali founded a distillery in Trieste. Originally specializing in rum and punch for the aristocracy, the business relocated to Vienna in 1811. It wasn't until the company was acquired by the Beer family in 1913 that it pivoted towards confectionery, eventually creating its signature products like the Rum-Kokos dragees and chocolate-covered bananas.

Today, the brand is famous for its 'Rum-Kokos' pralines, which feature a liquid core of real sugar cane rum surrounded by layers of chocolate and coconut flakes. The manufacturing takes place primarily in Austria, where the traditional recipes are preserved. Since 1970, Casali has been part of the Josef Manner & Comp. AG family, a major Austrian confectionery company known for its Neapolitan wafers. The brand continues to be a staple of Austrian sweet culture and is widely exported across Europe.
