Vera mineral water

Vera is a well-known Italian mineral water brand originally founded in 1979 in San Giorgio in Bosco, Italy. For many years, it was part of the Sanpellegrino Group, a subsidiary of the Swiss multinational Nestlé. However, in 2020, Nestlé sold the brand to Acqua Vera S.p.A., a company formed by the Quagliuolo family (owners of the PET container manufacturer Sicon) and other industry managers. This strategic move allowed Nestlé to focus on its premium water brands like San Pellegrino and Perrier.

Today, Vera water is bottled across several sites in Italy to minimize its environmental footprint, including facilities in Santo Stefano Quisquina (Sicily), Castrocielo (Lazio), and San Giorgio in Bosco (Veneto). The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of the Quagliuolo family through Acqua Vera S.p.A., maintaining its status as a prominent Italian-owned player in the bottled water market with a significant share of the national industry.
