Physiogel is a prominent dermo-cosmetic brand specializing in sensitive skin care. It was originally established in Germany by Stiefel Laboratories, a company with roots dating back to 1847. The brand gained global recognition for its BioMimic Technology, designed to repair and strengthen the skin's natural lipid barrier.

In 2009, Stiefel Laboratories was acquired by the British pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Later, in 2020, the brand's ownership became geographically split. Klinge Pharma acquired the rights for Physiogel in several European markets, including Germany, Austria, and France. Simultaneously, the South Korean conglomerate LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H) acquired the rights for the Asian and North American markets.

Manufacturing of Physiogel products has historically taken place in Europe (notably Ireland and Germany) and Thailand. Under its new ownership, LG H&H has moved to integrate production into its own facilities in South Korea, China, and the United States for those specific regions. In Germany, Klinge Pharma manages the distribution and brand presence, often utilizing established European manufacturing networks.
