Fredsted is a historic Danish tea brand founded in 1917 by Valdemar Fredsted in Copenhagen. The company began as a specialty tea house focused on importing exotic blends to satisfy the Danish market's growing interest in tea. Over more than a century, it has evolved into a prominent household name in Scandinavia, known for its wide range of products including teabags, loose-leaf tea, and popular instant Chai Latte mixes.

Today, the brand is owned and managed by The Whole Company Food A/S, a Danish food conglomerate based in Køge. While Fredsted sources its tea leaves and ingredients from various regions globally—such as India and herbal production areas—the final blending, flavoring, and packaging are primarily completed in Denmark to ensure quality standards for the Nordic market.
