Philco Television

Philco (originally the Philadelphia Storage Battery Company) is an iconic brand in the world of electronics, founded in 1892 in the United States. While it was once a pioneer in radio and television technology in North America, its trajectory changed significantly over the decades through various acquisitions and licensing agreements.

In the Brazilian market, the Philco brand is managed by Britânia, which acquired the rights to use the brand from Electrolux in 2007. Most Philco products sold in Brazil, including televisions, are manufactured locally in the Manaus Free Trade Zone (Zona Franca de Manaus) to supply the domestic market. Internationally, the brand name is owned or licensed by different entities depending on the region, but in the context of Brazilian consumer electronics, it is under the management of Britânia Eletrodomésticos.
