Arabia Moomin Mymble pink mug

The Arabia Moomin mug featuring Mymble is a piece of Finnish design history. While the Arabia brand was originally established in 1873 as a subsidiary of the Swedish porcelain manufacturer Rörstrand in the Arabia district of Helsinki, it evolved into a quintessential symbol of Finnish ceramic artistry. The Moomin collection, based on the beloved characters created by Tove Jansson, has been in large-scale production since 1990, with this specific Mymble design being introduced in 2008.

Historically, these mugs were manufactured in Helsinki, Finland. However, in 2016, Fiskars Group (the brand's ultimate owner) closed the original Finnish factory. Since then, production has shifted primarily to specialized contract manufacturers in Thailand and Romania. The "Arabia Finland" crown stamp shown in the image was used between 1981 and 2014; after 2007, this mark appeared on mugs produced in both Finland and Thailand. Today, the brand remains a flagship of the Fiskars Group, representing high-quality Nordic lifestyle and functional beauty.
