Nelson Garden Pluggbox

Nelson Garden is a well-established Nordic brand specializing in gardening and cultivation products. The brand was founded in 1933 in the small village of Belganet, Blekinge, Sweden, by Georg Nilsson. It began as a family operation, with the Nilsson family packaging seeds around their kitchen table. Over the decades, the company evolved from a small mail-order seed business into one of the largest and most influential players in the Scandinavian gardening market.

In 2018, the Norwegian agricultural cooperative Felleskjøpet Agri acquired Nelson Garden, integrating it into their extensive Nordic retail and supply network. While the brand maintains its headquarters and significant operations in Tingsryd, Sweden, it is now part of a larger Norwegian group. Many of their specialized plastic products, like the Pluggbox shown in the image, have historically been manufactured in Sweden to ensure high quality and durability, often being advertised as dishwasher-safe and designed for multi-year reuse.
