Ledvance LED bulb

Ledvance is a global leader in the lighting industry, specializing in LED lamps, luminaires, and smart home lighting solutions. The brand was established in 2016 as a spin-off from the long-standing German lighting giant OSRAM. Headquartered in Garching near Munich, Germany, the company maintains its German engineering roots while operating as a significant international player in more than 140 countries.

While the brand has its origins in Germany, the company has been under Chinese ownership since 2017. In 2018, the Chinese lighting enterprise MLS Co., Ltd. (also known as Mulinsen) became the sole owner. Most of their mass-market products, as indicated by the 'Made in P.R.C.' (People's Republic of China) label seen on the packaging, are manufactured in China to leverage cost-efficient LED component production. Ledvance continues to use the OSRAM and SYLVANIA brand names under license for various product lines in specific global regions.
