Kellogg's cereal and snacks

The Kellogg's brand was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, following the accidental invention of flaked cereal by Will Keith (W.K.) Kellogg and his brother, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, at the Battle Creek Sanitarium in the late 19th century. W.K. Kellogg founded the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company in 1906, which eventually became the global giant known as the Kellogg Company.

In October 2023, the organization underwent a historic transformation, splitting into two independent public companies: Kellanova, which retained the global snacking, international cereal, and North American frozen food operations, and WK Kellogg Co, which focused on the North American cereal business. By late 2025, the landscape shifted further as Mars, Inc. finalized the acquisition of Kellanova, while the Italian confectioner Ferrero Group completed its acquisition of WK Kellogg Co. Today, the iconic Kellogg's signature remains on packaging globally, representing a diverse portfolio now managed under the ownership of these two major food conglomerates.

Manufacturing remains highly globalized, with significant production facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom (specifically Trafford Park, Manchester), Mexico, and several other locations across Europe, Asia, and Latin America to serve local markets.
