Frankenland dairy products

Frankenland is a prominent regional dairy brand based in the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany. It has a history spanning over 40 years, originally operating under the cooperative Bayerische Milchindustrie eG (BMI). The brand is deeply rooted in local identity, sourcing its raw milk from family-owned farms within a small radius of its production facilities in Würzburg, Ebermannstadt, and Zapfendorf.

In 2022, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when the French dairy giant Lactalis acquired BMI’s fresh products business, which included the Frankenland brand. Today, the brand is managed by Würzburger Milchwerke GmbH, a subsidiary of the Lactalis Group. Despite the international ownership, production remains strictly local in Franconia to maintain the brand's 'Heimat im Herzen' (Home in the Heart) regional promise.
