Extra is a leading global brand of sugar-free chewing gum, first introduced in 1984 as the first sugar-free gum from the Wrigley Company. Since its launch, it has grown into one of the most recognizable gum brands worldwide, known for its long-lasting flavor and oral health benefits.

Originally developed by the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company in the United States, the brand became part of Mars, Incorporated following the acquisition of Wrigley in 2008. In 2016, Mars merged its chocolate and Wrigley segments to create Mars Wrigley, which now oversees the production and marketing of Extra alongside other iconic brands like Orbit and Freedent.
