Stubb's Legendary Bar-B-Q sauce is a staple of American grilling culture, originally born in the heart of Texas. The brand was founded by Christopher B. 'Stubb' Stubblefield, a Korean War veteran who first opened his namesake barbecue restaurant in Lubbock, Texas, in 1968. Known for its 'Love & Happiness' philosophy, the sauce transitioned from a restaurant favorite to a retail product in 1992, eventually becoming one of the leading premium BBQ sauce brands in the United States.

In 2015, the brand's retail sauce business, then operated by One World Foods, was acquired by the global spice and flavor giant McCormick & Company for approximately $100 million.
