Teekanne Fenchel (Fennel) tea is a popular herbal infusion produced by one of Germany's most historic tea brands. Founded in 1882 in Dresden, Teekanne has been a pioneer in the industry, notably inventing the machine-made double-chamber tea bag and the 'tea bomb' precursor. The brand is deeply rooted in German tradition, with its headquarters and primary manufacturing facility located in Düsseldorf since the mid-20th century.

Ownership of the brand has remained remarkably stable, having been held by the same two families—the Anders and Nisslé families—since 1898. Today, it operates as a fourth-generation family-run business under Teekanne GmbH & Co. KG. While the raw fennel is sourced from various global regions through sustainable partnerships (often certified by the Rainforest Alliance), the final blending and packaging typically occur at their state-of-the-art facilities in Germany and occasionally at their international sites in Austria or Italy.
