Pukka After Dinner tea is a premium organic herbal infusion crafted from a blend of fennel, aniseed, and cardamom. The brand was founded in Bristol, United Kingdom, in 2001 by Sebastian Pole and Tim Westwell. Inspired by the ancient Indian philosophy of Ayurveda, the founders aimed to connect people with the healing power of plants. The name "Pukka" is derived from the Hindi word for "authentic" or "genuine."

Manufacturing primarily takes place in the United Kingdom, where the brand has long maintained its production base. In recent years, operations have been integrated into larger corporate structures to facilitate global distribution. In 2017, the brand was acquired by the multinational conglomerate Unilever. However, in 2022, Unilever sold its global tea division (then known as Ekaterra) to the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. The division was subsequently rebranded as Lipton Teas and Infusions. Today, Pukka remains a key brand within the Lipton Teas and Infusions portfolio, managed from headquarters in the Netherlands, while continuing to represent its British heritage and commitment to holistic wellness.
