Salling Rosiner (Raisins)

Rosiner (Danish for raisins) are widely sold under various private labels in Denmark, most notably the 'Salling' and 'Coop' brands. These products are typically not produced in Denmark, as the climate is unsuitable for large-scale grape drying. Instead, the raisins are sourced globally from major producing regions such as Turkey (the world's largest exporter), the United States (California), and Chile.

The Salling Group, Denmark's largest retail company, owns the Salling brand. The company's profits are managed by the Salling Foundations, which reinvest in the business and donate to various charitable and cultural causes. The raisins are processed and packaged to meet European quality standards before being distributed through major retail chains like Netto, Føtex, and Bilka.
