The brand is well-regarded for its traditional methods and recently gained attention for its 'Family Delicatessen' range, which focuses on products made without nitrites or artificial preservatives.

In December 2021, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by the Irish food group O'Brien Fine Foods. This strategic acquisition allowed the Dublin-based company to expand its footprint into the UK market. Despite the change in ultimate ownership, production remains centered in the United Kingdom, specifically at the brand's East London facilities, which the new owners have continued to invest in to support growth and local distribution to major retailers and the hospitality sector.
