Originally founded in 1985 in Xinhui, Guangdong, China, as the Xinhui Daily Necessities Factory, it evolved into Vinda International Holdings Limited. The brand is recognized for its innovation in knitted fiber technology, which provides extra strength and softness to its tissues.

In 2024, the ownership of the brand underwent a significant shift when the Singapore-based conglomerate Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), founded by Indonesian businessman Sukanto Tanoto, acquired Vinda International. This acquisition by RGE, through its subsidiary Asia Pacific Resources International Limited (APRIL), integrated Vinda into a global supply chain that spans from pulp plantations to finished consumer goods. While the brand originated in China and maintains substantial production bases there, it also operates manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Taiwan to serve the broader Asian market.
