Kaba cocoa drink

Kaba is a classic German brand of instant cocoa and fruit-flavored milk powders. It was founded in 1929 in Bremen by Ludwig Roselius, who was also the founder of Kaffee HAG. For decades, Kaba was a staple of German breakfasts and was particularly famous for its marketing campaigns involving Disney characters and its iconic yellow packaging.

Over its history, the brand has changed ownership several times. In 1979, it was acquired by the American company General Foods, which later became part of Kraft Foods (and eventually Mondelez International). In 2016, Mondelez sold Kaba to the French investment firm Eurazeo, which grouped it under the Carambar & Co entity. Most recently, in late 2023, the German Krüger Group reached an agreement to acquire Kaba along with Suchard Express and Benco. As of 2024 and looking toward 2026, the brand is owned and managed by the Krüger Group, with production being integrated into their facilities in Germany and potentially other European locations.
