Brigitte women's magazine

Brigitte is the leading women's magazine and cross-media brand in Germany. Originally founded in 1886 as 'Das Blatt der Hausfrau' (The Housewife's Journal), it was rebranded as Brigitte in 1954 and has since become an iconic cultural staple in the German-speaking world. The magazine covers a wide array of lifestyle topics including fashion, beauty, culture, finance, and health, with a strong emphasis on female empowerment.

While predominantly known for its print and digital media presence, the Brigitte brand also extends to various consumer goods and license collaborations. The primary publishing and manufacturing of the media products occur in Germany. Since the merger of Gruner + Jahr into RTL Deutschland, the brand is ultimately owned by the international media conglomerate Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA.
