Viva Aerobus is a prominent Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier founded in 2006. The airline was established as a joint venture between IAMSA, Mexico's leading bus transportation company, and Irelandia Aviation, the investment vehicle of the Ryan family, who famously founded Ryanair. Based in Monterrey, Mexico, the airline has revolutionized domestic and international travel within the region by making air travel accessible to a broader demographic.

Today, the airline is fully owned by Grupo IAMSA, after they acquired Irelandia Aviation's stake in 2016. The company operates a modern fleet of Airbus aircraft and maintains its headquarters at Monterrey International Airport. It has grown to become one of the largest airlines in Mexico, focusing on point-to-point routes and operational efficiency.
