Alpro is a pioneering brand in the plant-based dairy alternative market, originally established in Belgium in 1980. The product shown is a soy-based yogurt alternative with mango flavor, marketed under the 'Ohne Zuckerzusatz' (no added sugar) line.
The brand was founded by the De Schrevel family as a subsidiary of the Vandemoortele Group. Over the decades, it grew into a European leader for soy, almond, and oat products. In 2017, Alpro became part of the Danone group after Danone acquired WhiteWave Foods (which had previously acquired Alpro). Today, Alpro is a core component of Danone's plant-based division, with its main manufacturing hub remaining in Wevelgem, Belgium, and additional production facilities across Europe to serve local markets like Germany.
