Gratis is a leading Turkish health and beauty retail chain, founded in 2009 by the Demir Sabancı family. Since its inception in Istanbul, the brand has transformed the Turkish personal care market by offering a wide variety of cosmetics, skincare, and hygiene products through an extensive network of physical stores and an online platform.

Ownership of Gratis has evolved over the years to support its rapid growth. While originally established by Sedes Holding, a significant portion of the company (approximately 55%) was acquired by Actera Group in 2017. Actera Group is a major private equity firm focusing on investments in Turkey, which helped scale the brand into the market leader it is today. In 2024, it was announced that the Demir Sabancı family's Sedes Holding regained full control by buying back the majority shares from Actera Group, ensuring the brand remains under Turkish ownership. The products sold under their private label brands (such as Bee Beauty and Benri) are primarily manufactured in Turkey to maintain quality and supply chain efficiency.
