LibreOffice Software Suite

LibreOffice is a powerful, free, and open-source office productivity suite that was launched in 2010. It is a successor to OpenOffice.org and is developed by a global community of contributors. Because it is open-source software, its code is written and maintained by developers located all over the world, rather than being manufactured in a single physical location.

The project is overseen by The Document Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Germany. The foundation ensures the brand's integrity and coordinates the legal and financial aspects of the project. LibreOffice offers a full range of applications including word processing (Writer), spreadsheets (Calc), and presentations (Impress).
