Universal Genève Tri-Compax watch

Universal Genève is a Swiss luxury watch brand known for its innovation in chronographs and complicated timepieces. This specific model, the Tri-Compax, was introduced in the mid-20th century and represents a pinnacle of vintage horological design, featuring moon phase, date, and chronograph functions. Traditionally manufactured in Le Locle and later Geneva, Switzerland, the brand has a storied history of independent craftsmanship.

In late 2023, Breitling, supported by its parent private equity firm Partners Group, acquired Universal Genève. This acquisition aims to restore the heritage brand to its former glory. Consequently, while the brand is Swiss in origin and identity, its ultimate ownership now rests with the international investment entity Partners Group under the Breitling umbrella.
