Motta Panettone

Motta is an iconic Italian brand, best known for its traditional Christmas cake, the Panettone. The brand was founded in 1919 by Angelo Motta in Milan, where he revolutionized the baking method for Panettone, giving it its characteristic tall shape.

Today, Motta is manufactured primarily in Italy, maintaining its heritage and quality standards. Since 2009, the brand alongside Alemagna has been owned by Bauli S.p.A., a major Italian confectionery company headquartered in Castel d'Azzano, Verona. This acquisition brought together two of the most significant names in Italian holiday festive cakes under a single, family-owned Italian entity.
