Grefusa Pipas Tijuana is a quintessential Spanish snack consisting of roasted sunflower seeds flavored with a unique barbecue-style spice blend known as 'Tijuana'. The Grefusa brand was founded in Alzira, Valencia, Spain, in 1929, initially starting as a dry fruit business before evolving into one of the country's most iconic snack food manufacturers.

The product is primarily manufactured at Grefusa's central headquarters and production facility in Alzira. While many snack giants are controlled by global conglomerates, Grefusa remains a family-owned Spanish enterprise. In early 2018, however, the German food group Intersnack acquired a significant minority stake in the company to bolster international expansion, though the Grefús family maintains the majority leadership and the operational headquarters remain in Spain.
