KTM (Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen) is a world-renowned Austrian motorcycle brand that originated in 1934 as a metalworking shop. Over the decades, it evolved into a racing powerhouse, particularly dominating the off-road and rally sectors. Today, KTM is synonymous with the 'Ready to Race' philosophy, producing high-performance machinery across various categories including motocross, enduro, and street naked bikes.

While the high-end and premium models continue to be engineered and manufactured at the company's headquarters in Mattighofen, Austria, KTM has expanded its global production footprint. Through a strategic partnership with Bajaj Auto, several small-to-mid-displacement bikes are manufactured in Pune, India. Additionally, a joint venture with CFMOTO facilitates production for specific models in China. The ownership of KTM is managed through Pierer Mobility AG. As of current standings, the brand is part of a complex corporate structure involving Stefan Pierer's group and the Indian automotive giant Bajaj Auto. This synergy has allowed KTM to become Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer, consistently pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering and competition.
