Duyvis Borrelnootjes are a quintessential Dutch savory snack consisting of peanuts with a crunchy, flavored coating. The brand traces its history back to 1806 when Teunis Duyvis established an oil mill in Koog aan de Zaan. Initially a family business focused on cattle feed and oil, it transitioned into the consumer snack market in the mid-20th century, becoming famous for its nuts and sauces.

In 1991, the Duyvis brand was acquired from AkzoNobel by United Biscuits, and later, in 2006, it became part of the PepsiCo portfolio. Today, the production of these snacks remains largely centered in the Netherlands, specifically at the factory in Zaandam. As a subsidiary of PepsiCo, Duyvis benefits from a global distribution network while maintaining its strong cultural heritage as the most recognized nut brand in the Benelux region.
