Libero is a premium baby care brand that originated in Stockholm, Sweden. It was developed by SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget), a company with deep roots in the Swedish forestry and paper industry. Today, Libero is widely recognized for its high standards of sustainability and skin-friendly materials, frequently carrying the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

Manufacturing takes place in several locations across Europe to serve different markets, with major production facilities historically located in Sweden and Poland. The products are designed to meet rigorous Nordic safety and quality standards.

In 2017, SCA spun off its hygiene and health business into a new independent company called Essity. Consequently, Essity is the current ultimate owner of the Libero brand. Headquartered in Stockholm, Essity is a global leader in hygiene and health products, managing a vast portfolio that includes brands like TENA, Tork, and Lotus. The brand continues to focus on innovation in the premium diaper segment, emphasizing comfort and environmental responsibility.
