Haust Grahamskex Whole Wheat Biscuits

Haust Grahamskex is a popular Icelandic brand of whole wheat biscuits (known as 'grahamskex' or 'heilhveitikex') that has been a staple in Icelandic households for decades. The brand is deeply ingrained in the local food culture, often served during 'kaffitími' (coffee time) or used as a base for various traditional desserts.

Historically, the brand was part of the Frón biscuit factory operations. Today, the brand is owned by Nói Siríus, the largest confectionery manufacturer in Iceland. Speaking to its ownership, Nói Siríus was acquired in 2021 by Orkla ASA, a major Norwegian industrial conglomerate. This transition placed the traditional Icelandic brand under the umbrella of one of Northern Europe’s largest consumer goods companies, while production generally remains localized within Iceland to serve the domestic market.
