Azucarera Glace Seda sugar

Azucarera is one of the most iconic food brands in Spain, specializing in the production of sugar and related sweeteners. Founded in 1903 as the 'Sociedad General Azucarera de España', it played a central role in the industrialization of the Spanish agricultural sector. The company primarily harvests sugar beets from local farmers in Northern Spain and processes them in domestic factories, such as those in Miranda de Ebro, Jerez, or Toro.

Today, Azucarera is no longer a purely Spanish company in terms of ownership. Since 2009, it has been part of AB Sugar, a subsidiary of the British multinational food group Associated British Foods (ABF). Despite this international ownership, it maintains its strong Spanish identity and local manufacturing operations, continuing to be the market leader in the Spanish sugar industry.
