Pripps Blå is one of Sweden's most iconic and popular beer brands. It was originally established in Gothenburg in 1828 by Johan Albrecht Pripp. Over the decades, it grew to become a staple of Swedish beverage culture, eventually merging with other breweries to form Pripps Bryggerier.

Today, the brand is owned by the Danish beverage giant Carlsberg Group. While it maintains its deep Swedish roots and heritage, it is managed under the Carlsberg Sverige subsidiary. Production primarily takes place at the Carlsberg brewery in Falkenberg, Sweden, ensuring that this classic pilsner-style lager remains a local product for the Swedish market.
