Lara Bar (LÄRABAR) fruit and nut bar

LÄRABAR was founded in 2000 by Lara Merriken in Denver, Colorado. The brand was built on the philosophy of creating health food using simple, minimally processed ingredients, primarily combinations of fruits, nuts, and spices. After identifying a gap in the market for clean convenience foods, Merriken developed the recipes in her own kitchen.

In 2008, the brand was acquired by the global food giant General Mills. Today, LÄRABAR is produced primarily in the United States and is distributed globally. It remains one of the most visible brands in the natural snack food category, maintaining its original commitment to gluten-free and non-GMO ingredients while benefiting from the extensive distribution network of its parent corporation.
