The brand's core product is based on Naphazoline, a vasoconstrictor that rapidly reduces swelling in the nasal passages to facilitate breathing.

Originally developed and marketed within the Italian pharmaceutical landscape, the brand became part of the multi-national consumer healthcare portfolio of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). In 2022, following a significant corporate restructuring, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division to create Haleon, a dedicated global consumer health company. Today, Rinazina is manufactured in Italy by Haleon Italy S.r.l., maintaining its strong local presence while benefiting from the global infrastructure of its parent company, which remains one of the world's largest providers of over-the-counter health products.
