The brand was developed specifically for the Norwegian market to provide high-quality everyday items at a lower price point compared to premium international brands. While the brand is Norwegian in origin and ownership, manufacturing is typically outsourced to large-scale plastic and household goods manufacturers, often located in China or Southeast Asia to maintain cost-efficiency.

Today, Quick is wholly owned by Reitan Retail (formerly Reitangruppen), one of Scandinavia's largest retail conglomerates. The products are distributed exclusively through Reitan-owned outlets, primarily Rema 1000 supermarkets in Norway and Denmark.
