Sassicaia 2018 red wine

Sassicaia is one of the most prestigious and iconic Italian red wines, famously known as the original 'Super Tuscan'. Produced by Tenuta San Guido, it was created by Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, who planted Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Bolgheri region of Tuscany during the 1940s—a revolutionary move at a time when the region was not considered suitable for fine wine production.

The 2018 vintage continues the tradition of excellence, crafted exclusively within the Tenuta San Guido estate in Bolgheri, Tuscany. The wine is unique in that it has its own dedicated DOC subzone, Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC. Ownership remains firmly within the founding family, with the Incisa della Rocchetta family continuing to manage the estate and maintain its legacy of high-quality viticulture and winemaking.
