Bambi Plazma / Lane Biscuits

Bambi is a renowned confectionery brand originating from Požarevac, Serbia. Founded in 1967, it became famous for its signature ground biscuit known as Plazma (marketed as Lane in some international markets), which is recognized as a staple nutritional snack across the Balkans. The brand is celebrated for its high-quality ingredients, including vitamins and minerals, making it a household name for generations of consumers.

The manufacturing of Bambi products remains concentrated in Serbia, where the company operates large-scale production facilities in Požarevac. Over the decades, the company has expanded its portfolio beyond biscuits to include chocolates, wafers, and various snack items, maintaining a dominant market share in the Southeast European region.

In terms of ownership, Bambi has transitioned through several major corporate hands. After being owned by the investment group Mid Europa Partners, the company was acquired in 2019 by Coca-Cola HBC (Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company). This acquisition integrated the iconic Balkan biscuit brand into one of the world's largest bottling partners of The Coca-Cola Company, allowing for broader distribution and modernization of the brand's production capabilities while keeping its headquarters and core manufacturing in Serbia.
