Fa is a globally recognized personal care brand specializing in body care products including shower gels, deodorants, soaps, and lotions. Originally launched in 1954 by Dreiring KG, a subsidiary of the German conglomerate Henkel, the brand's name is an abbreviation of the German word fabelhafte ('fabulous') and a reference to Fadenseife ('thread soap'). It gained prominence as one of the first brands to introduce cream-based soap bars and tropical-scented hygiene products to the European market.
Today, Fa operates as a flagship brand within Henkel's Consumer Brands division. While the brand has its roots and core research facilities in Germany, its manufacturing is highly decentralized to support its presence in over 120 countries. Production occurs across Henkel's global network of approximately 160 manufacturing sites, with significant operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific to serve local markets efficiently. In recent years, notably during a major 2025 brand relaunch, Henkel has shifted Fa's focus toward sustainability, transitioning to formulas with over 93% naturally derived ingredients and packaging made from 100% recycled plastic.
