Quorn Vegetarian Fillets

Quorn is a pioneering brand in the meat alternative industry, known for its use of mycoprotein, which is derived from the fungus Fusarium venenatum. The brand was originally established in the 1960s through a collaboration between Lord Rank (of Ranks Hovis McDougall) and Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in the United Kingdom.

Today, Quorn is a global market leader in the meat-free category. While the product is sold internationally and customized for various markets (as shown by the Nordic packaging in the image), the primary production facility remains in Billingham, North Yorkshire, in the UK. Since 2015, the brand has been owned by the Philippine-based multi-national Monde Nissin Corporation, which acquired it to expand its portfolio into sustainable health foods.
