Quick is a Belgian chain of fast-food restaurants founded in 1971 in Schoten, Belgium. It was the first European fast-food chain to challenge American giants like McDonald's by offering local flavors and preferences. Over the decades, it became a cultural icon in both Belgium and France, known for its signature burgers like the Giant.
Today, the ownership is split by geography. The French operations were acquired and largely transitioned to Burger King under the ownership of Groupe Bertrand, though several Quick locations still operate in France. The Belgian and Luxembourgian operations were acquired by the investment firm Kharis Capital via its subsidiary QSR Belgium, which continues to grow the brand independently in those markets. The manufacturing of ingredients follows strict local sourcing standards across its European supply chain.
